Texas Fishing License - Required for all persons over the age of 16 years old. If you don't currently have a license, Wal-mart is a good source, and pretty much all sporting goods suppliers. Cost for a one day Texas Resident is $10.00 Cost for a one day Non Texas Resident is $15.00. Cost for a full year (good Sept thru Aug). Texas Resident Freshwater is $28.00. Cost for a full year Non Texas Resident Freshwater is $55.00. Also you can call Texas Parks and Wildlife to obtain your license at 800-895-4248 (Mon-Fri 9:00am-6pm) or order online at www.tpwd.state.tx.us. Let me know if you need help locating where to get your license.
Drinks, Snacks, and Ice Chest - Bring whatever food, drinks or snacks you would like to have during your fishing trip. Also bring your personal cooler to place in the boat for your drinks and snacks. You will also need your cooler or an additional cooler with ICE to carry your cleaned fish home in.
Fishing Equipment - I have plenty (all types of rod and reels, just what we need for the fishing we will do). But if you want to bring your equipment, please do. I want you to totally enjoy your fishing trip.
Life Jackets for Children under 13 - Texas Law requires; All Children under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket while the boat is moving.
Sunscreen - Always put on your Sunscreen.
For summer, Early Fall and Late Spring Fishing Trips - Dress to stay cool. Wear a Hat, and protect yourself from the Sun.
For Fall, Winter and early Spring Fishing Trips – Dress for it to be colder than you think it might be, it's always colder on the water (you can always take off coats, wind shirts etc..., but you can't put them on if you don't have them). Dress in layers.
Rain Gear - If the forecast happens to call for a chance of rain, please bring your own rain gear.
Bring your camera - if you're a photo buff, bring your camera. You will get some great shots.
When scheduling a trip in advance, a 30% deposit is required. Paying options:
Prepay and deposits- Cash, on balance due at the dock.
